On Nov. 1, President Yan Xiaohong met Prof. Gerard Bois of Arts et Métiers ParisTech of France. Relevant directors of the International Department and the Fluid Center attended the meeting.
Yan Xiaohong expressed her heartfelt thanks to Prof. Gerard Bois for coming from France to attend the 60th anniversary of the Fluid Center of UJS. Yan highly appreciated the long-term cooperation and fruitful achievements he has made with our university. Yan wished that Prof. Bois could play the leading role as a leading expert of Advanced Technology for High-end Fluid Machinery Overseas Expertise Introduction Center for Discipline Innovation and Jiangsu Foreign Expert Workshop. Furthermore, Yan hoped that UJS would deepen the multilateral cooperation and exchanges between our university and the top engineering universities under the French Paris Hi Tech Alliance, such as scientific research cooperation and joint postgraduate training.
Prof. Bois highly praised the construction of our faculty, the quality of talent training, and the level of international cooperation and exchange in the field of fluid machinery and engineering. He looked forward to more interdisciplinary cooperation between the two universities, further implementing substantive cooperation in credit mutual recognition, curriculum certification, etc. He would also introduce more members of his team to carry out teaching and scientific research cooperation with our university, so as to help promote exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.
Since 2015, Prof. Bois has been employed as a foreign expert of UJS. He has been committed to cooperating in teaching and research. Up till now, he has co-published over 20 papers, has been approved one project by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has been approved one high-end foreign expert project by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs. As a leading expert, it has been successfully granted Jiangsu Foreign Expert Workshop by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. After four years of construction, the workshop was rated excellent grade in 2022.
