On December 22, the First Power Engineering Discipline Alumni High-end Forum of Jiangsu University was successfully held in Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology, which was jointly organized by School of Energy and Power Engineering and School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering. The forum was hosted by Zhang Desheng, Secretary of Party Committee of Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology.

At the forum, Jiangsu University Chair, Prof. Yuan Shouqi gave a welcome speech and expressed warm welcome to the arrival of outstanding alumni. Prof. Yuan Shouqi introduced the development and achievements of Jiangsu University in recent years and welcomed alumni to offer advice and suggestions for the cooperation of Jiangsu University.

The discussion session was presided over by Wang Junfeng, Dean of School of Energy and Power Engineering. The participants discussed the topics of high-end talent training, major platform construction and project declaration. Kang Can, Secretary of Party Committee of School of Energy and Power Engineering, introduced three aspects of the “Silk Road Scholarship” class, the class of excellence, and the applied talents training. Yin Bifeng, Vice President of School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering, exchanged views on the combination of industry-university -research, and the declaration of large projects. Cui Yong, Vice President of Overseas Education College, reported on the achievements of Jiangsu University's internationalization in recent years and related issues of the “One Belt and One Road " industry alliance. Finally, outstanding alumni put forward practical suggestions from the combination of engineering and information technology, being the main body of knowledge innovation, and training the cultivation of core leading talents.

The successful holding of this forum promotes the close ties and exchanges between Jiangsu University and the alumni in the related fields of Power Engineering Discipline. It units the strength of the industry and forms a win-win mechanism for school-enterprise cooperation. It is important for Jiangsu University to build high-level research universities and first-class disciplines.
