To further deepen the integration of industry and education and align more precisely with the development needs of the sector, the Trade Union of the Fluid Center organized a faculty delegation to visit a pump enterprise in Lishui District, Nanjing, for research and exchange on January 18.

The visit was attended by more than 20 participants, including Zhang Desheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fluid Center; Yuan Jianping, Director of the Fluid Center; Zhang Jinfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director; Deputy Directors Pei Ji and Peng Guangjie; as well as faculty representatives.

Accompanied by relevant representatives from Jiangsu Kaiquan Pump Manufacturing Co., Ltd., the delegation toured the company’s machining and assembly workshops, gaining detailed insights into its advanced practices in production, manufacturing and quality control.

During the subsequent symposium, the two sides held in-depth discussions on key topics such as the technical features of the company’s flagship products, market application scenarios, future technical support needs and talent cultivation. They also exchanged views on industry-university-research cooperation and the transformation of research outcomes.

The visit to a leading enterprise provided faculty members with a practical platform to engage closely with the forefront of the industry, further strengthening young teachers’ understanding of current industry developments. Participants said they would stay committed to the original mission of “devoting themselves to the main battlefield of national economic development and writing their papers on the land of the motherland.” They also expressed their determination to transform insights gained from the visit into motivation for teaching and research, focus more closely on industry challenges, tackle key technical problems, and contribute wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of China’s pump and valve industry with firmer conviction and more pragmatic action.
