From April 19 to 22, the 3rdInternational Symposium of Cavitation and Multiphase Flow (ISCMF2019) was co-hosted by Shanghai University and the Hydrodynamics Editorial Board in the Shanghai Baolong Hotel. Researcher Zhang Desheng was invited to make a report named “Modification and Validation of Cavitation Model with Considering Thermal Effects and Application in LNG Cryopump”. The doctoral and master students of the Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology gave five academic presentations at the conference.
More than 200 experts, technical personnel from enterprises, national researchers, professors and student representatives from more than 10 countries on fluid machinery, ship hydrodynamics, hydro-mechanical cavitation, multi-phase flow attended the conference. The ISCMF meeting aims to discuss new discoveries, new methods, new ideas and the latest research results in the field of cavitation and multiphase flow at home and abroad, to promote international cooperation and exchanges, explore academical problems and innovate scientific research ideas, and promote the application of research results in disciplinary development.
The conference consisted of 2 themes, 5 sub-venues, and 22 internationally renowned experts gave a wonderful conference report, covering the cutting-edge research directions, the latest research methods and the development direction on future research in the current fields of cavitation and multiphase flow. It not only allows the participants to appreciate the master's style, but also the advanced research ideas at home and abroad are inspiring to the participants' research. Through this academic exchange, it expands the international popularity and influence of fluid mechanics research in Jiangsu University.
