From 24th to 28th September 2019, the 15th Asian International Conference on Fluid Machinery (AICFM15), which was the 2nd IAHR-Asia Symposium on Hydraulic Machinery and Systems (IAHR-Asia2019), was held in Busan, South Korea. This conference was co-organized by Asian Fluid Machinery Committee (AFMC) and Korean Society for Fluid Machinery (KSFM).

At the awarding ceremony, Prof. Chisachi KATO, President of the Asian Fluid Machinery Committee, issued the “Asian Fluid Machinery Distinguished Engineer Award”. Prof. Yuan Shouqi is one of three Scholars, who won this award. This is also the second scholar after the award of Prof. Wu Yulin from Tsinghua University in Chinese history.

Prof. Yuan Shouqi has vigorously promoted international cooperation research and exchange of fluid machinery. And he has made outstanding contributions in fluid machinery research, international cooperation, and personnel training, and has won wide acclaim in the international academic community.
