On Dec. 10th, the 6th session of Jin Shan International Symposium on fluid mechanical engineering was held in Jiangsu University(UJS) in English language. More than 200 well-known experts, scholars, scientific researchers and graduate students from the United States, Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Australia, Canada, Japan and China were invited to participate in the seminar online and offline. Yuan Shouqi, Secretary of the CPC Committee and leader of Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics, delivered a speech on behalf of UJS. The seminar was presided over by deputy director Pei Ji of the fluid center.
In the opening speech, Yuan Shouqi introduced the latest situation of Jiangsu University and China’s National Research Center of Pumps(NRCP). It is pointed out that high-efficiency and energy-saving technological innovation in the field of fluid machinery (pump) is an important method to achieve the goal of ‘carbon emission peak and carbon neutrality’ in China. The seminar provides a platform for experts, scholars and researchers from academic and industrial fields to display the latest research achievements and promote the industrial application of latest technology and theory.
After the opening ceremony, the special guests are professor Andy Tan of Queensland University of technology, Australia, Dr. Yiran Lu of the University of Alberta in Canada, professor Zhaoming He of Texas University of technology, professor Akira Goto of Ebara, professor Gerard Bois of Franch National University of Higher Engineering and Technology, professor Hendrik Kuhlmann of Vienna University of technology in Austria, professor Jorge Luis Parrondo Gayo of Oviedo University in Spain and Professor Martin Böhle of Kaiserslautern University of Technology in Germany. They made wonderful online reports on the theme of ‘basic theory and application in fluid mechanical engineering’ respectively. They also shared the latest research progress and innovative achievements in fluid machinery related fields, and carried out warm exchanges and discussions with on-site participants. At the same time, the on-the-job tutor training in 2021 was carried out in combination with this international academic seminar, which effectively improved the tutor's guidance ability, guidance quality and international reach.
