Our school was selected as "National Advanced Nuclear Power Pump Technology Research and Development Center"

Recently, the National Energy Administration announced the list of the first batch of "Race to the Top" national energy research and development innovation platforms for the 14th Five-Year Plan. Our university's "National Advanced Nuclear Power Pump Technology Research and Development Center" led the application and was selected.

The layout of the national energy research and development innovation platforms is an important measure to implement the "Four Revolutions and One Cooperation" new energy security strategy and innovation-driven development strategy, and to promote technological progress in the national energy field.

The "National Advanced Nuclear Power Pump Technology Research and Development Center" was recommended and organized by the Development and Reform Commission of Jiangsu Province, with Jiangsu University as the leading unit. It is jointly established by six domestic nuclear power pump contracting, design, and manufacturing units, including China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., Harbin Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd., Shenyang Blower Group Nuclear Power Pump Industry Co., Ltd., Shanghai Apollo Machinery Co., Ltd., and CNNC Nuclear Power Operation Management Co., Ltd.

The "National Advanced Nuclear Power Pump Technology Research and Development Center" will implement the new energy security strategy and innovation-driven development strategy, focus on the national carbon peak and carbon neutrality strategic goals, and meet the long-term development needs of national nuclear power. It will conduct forward-looking basic research as the guide and focus on applied basic research. It will carry out research and development work on improving the safety and economy of third-generation nuclear main pumps, matching characteristics of concrete volute circulation pumps and device systems, nuclear power pump fault diagnosis and intelligent operation and maintenance systems, key technologies of fourth-generation nuclear main pumps, etc. It will continuously overcome the major "bottleneck" technologies involved in the design, processing, manufacturing, and engineering application of nuclear power pumps, provide intellectual and technical support for solving major common key problems in the innovation of the nuclear power pump industry, establish a base for basic theoretical research, technology development, achievement transformation, and engineering application of nuclear power pumps, and play a supporting and leading role in the industry, making greater contributions to accelerating the high-quality development of domestic and independent nuclear power pumps.
