On December 21, the annual progress meeting of the National Key R&D Program project “Development and Integration Demonstration of Precision Sprinkler Irrigation Technologies and Equipment for Intensive Farmlands in the Huang-Huai Region”, led by Professor Li Hong, was held at the Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology, Jiangsu University.

The expert panel invited to guide the project included Academician Kang Shaozhong from China Agricultural University, Academician Zhang Jiabao from the Nanjing Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Researcher Yuan Shouqi from Jiangsu University, Professor Wang Quanjiu from Xi’an University of Technology, Researcher Li Jiusheng from China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, Professor Xu Junzeng from Hohai University, and Researcher Niu Wenquan from Northwest A&F University. The project leaders, subproject leaders, and key members also attended the meeting. Professor Lu Jinzhong, Director of the Science and Technology Division of Jiangsu University, and Researcher Yuan Jianping, Director of the Research Center of Fluid Machinery Engineering and Technology, were present at the meeting.
Professor Lu Jinzhong delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Jiangsu University. Professor Li Hong, the project leader, provided an overall progress report on the project’s implementation, while subproject leaders presented detailed reports on their respective annual research achievements, the completion of performance indicators, and future research plans. The experts engaged in in-depth discussions and inquiries regarding the progress of the project and its subprojects. Constructive feedback was provided on various aspects, including the unique characteristics of the Huang-Huai region, coordination and compatibility among subprojects, integration of technologies and equipment, and the differentiation of demonstration and promotion strategies.
In conclusion, Professor Li Hong expressed commitment to thoroughly implementing the experts’ recommendations, fostering collaboration among teams, and ensuring the high-quality completion of the project’s objectives. Following the progress meeting, the subproject teams organized detailed discussions and exchanges focusing on the expert feedback and the plans for subsequent work.
