The "High-Temperature High-Pressure Pump Thermal Shock Test Bench" Passed the Scientific and Technological Achievement Appraisal by the China Machinery Industry Federation

On December 28, the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) hosted a scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting in Zhenjiang for the "High-Temperature High-Pressure Pump Thermal Shock Test Bench," a research achievement completed by the National Research Center of Pumps at Jiangsu University. The meeting was chaired by Professor-level Senior Engineer Ma Jingkun from CMIF.

Xia Zhiding from Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd., was elected as the Chair of the Appraisal Committee. During the meeting, the appraisal committee listened to the technical summary report presented by the project team, conducted an on-site inspection of the test apparatus, reviewed relevant documentation, and engaged in questioning and discussions.

The test bench’s high-temperature and high-pressure design parameters are 42 MPa and 250°C, covering most of the high-temperature and high-pressure pump parameters used in nuclear power plants. The test bench utilizes the coordinated operation of equipment such as air compressors, air storage tanks, and pneumatic gate valves, achieving a thermal shock transition time of less than 7 seconds for rapid switching between the hot water circulation loop and the cold water circulation loop. Its power supply operates at less than 900 kVA, with a voltage range adjustable between 380 V and 3 kV to 10 kV high voltage. The designed flow rate is 1600 m³/h, with a maximum test flow rate of 2200 m³/h, and the test bench meets Grade 1 accuracy requirements.

The appraisal committee unanimously agreed that the research achievement has reached a domestic leading level and approved the appraisal.
