On December 27, the Jingjiang Pump and Valve Industry Innovation Development Forum was jointly organized by the Taizhou Pump and Valve Industry CTO Alliance, the Taizhou Pump and Valve Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, and the Jingjiang Pump and Valve Industry Chamber of Commerce. This forum brought together government officials, industry experts, and business representatives to discuss the trends and future opportunities of the pump and valve industry. The forum aimed to guide pump and valve enterprises in Jingjiang towards pursuing quality, building strong brands, and jointly planning for high-quality development. Zhang Jiawei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Jingjiang Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, attended the event.

Prominent guests invited to the event included Jin Lifu, former member of the Jiangsu University Party Committee and former Director of the Publicity Department, Shi Hongwei, former Director of the Human Resources Department at Jiangsu University, Zhang Desheng, Party Secretary of the Fluid Center at Jiangsu University, Zhu Yong, Secretary of the Industry Services and Achievements Transformation Party Branch at the Jiangsu University Fluid Machinery Engineering Technology Research Center, and Geng Changfu, Deputy Dean of the Jiangsu University Jingjiang Pump and Valve Research Institute. Zhang Jiawei, in his opening remarks, expressed hope that Jingjiang pump and valve enterprises would unite, support one another, and leverage the resources and platforms provided by the "circle of friends" and "think tanks" of the Jingjiang Pump and Valve Industry Chamber of Commerce. He emphasized the importance of deepening industry-academia-research collaboration to strengthen the core competitiveness of Jingjiang’s pump and valve industry. He encouraged enterprises to align their strengths, complement one another, and collectively enhance the cluster advantage of Jingjiang’s pump and valve manufacturing. Zhang also urged companies to focus on their core businesses, cultivate markets with precision, and innovate for transformation, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of "Made in Jingjiang."

At the forum, the "Jiangsu Provincial Industry Professor for Graduate Supervisors" appointment ceremony was held. Jin Lifu awarded the second-term appointment certificate of Jiangsu Provincial Industry Professor for Graduate Supervisors to Wang Daohong, Chairman of Jiangsu Feiyue Pump Group Co., Ltd., renewing his position as an industry professor at Jiangsu University for graduate training. During his first term, Chairman Wang demonstrated exceptional dual-function performance. The collaboration yielded significant achievements in graduate training, industry-academia-research cooperation, and the transformation of research results, earning an "excellent" rating in the term assessment.

In the keynote report session, Zhang Desheng delivered a report titled "The Current State, National Demands, and Development Trends of the Pump Industry. " His presentation provided an in-depth analysis of the current status of the pump and valve industry, explained national policies, and offered insights into the future of the industry. Zhang urged entrepreneurs to seize the opportunities presented by China’s strategic transition, align with the unique characteristics of Jingjiang’s pump and valve industry, and focus on developing specialized and innovative enterprises to drive innovation within the industry.

Zhu Yong presented a report titled "Applications and Development Trends of Hydraulic Transmission Technology," introducing the application fields of hydraulic transmission technologies, their development overview, global and domestic industrial layouts of key enterprises, and industry trends. Zhu emphasized the importance of leveraging complementary advantages between universities and local industries to foster collaborative innovation and mutual benefits. He called for strengthening multi-dimensional collaborations among government, industry, academia, research, and application to transform scientific research into local industrial advantages, thereby supporting the high-quality development of Jingjiang’s pump and valve industry.

The successful hosting of this Innovation Development Forum not only provided new ideas and directions for the development of Jingjiang’s pump and valve industry but also established a platform for exchange and collaboration within the industry. Participants unanimously agreed to use this opportunity to strengthen cooperation and jointly promote the prosperity and development of the pump and valve sector in Jingjiang.

The two sides have signed a series of cooperation agreements, including partnerships in Party-building alliances, scientific research projects, and talent initiatives. These efforts have fostered deeper integration between Jiangsu University and Jingjiang in areas such as government, industry, academia, research, and application, driving the innovative and coordinated development of the pump and valve industry in the Yangtze River Delta region.
