On March 26, a delegation from the Fluid Center, including Deputy Director Peng Guangjie, Laboratory Director Lang Tao, and Zhu Yong, Party Secretary of the Fluid Equipment Industry Service and Technology Transformation Branch, conducted a visit to the Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry (abbreviated as BRIAMI). Participants in the exchange activities included Liu Xin, Deputy General Manager of the BRIAMI; Zhou Jiajin, General Manager of Beijing Testing Technology Development Co., Ltd.; Feng Junxue, Deputy General Manager; and Zhang Qingsong, Department Manager.

Liu Xin warmly welcomed the delegation from Jiangsu University's Fluid Center on behalf of the BRIAMI, providing a comprehensive overview of the institute’s development history, core business areas, and notable achievements. He analyzed the application demands for fluid transmission and intelligent control technology within the context of China's ongoing intelligent transformation and upgrading of industrial systems and agricultural intelligent equipment industries. Liu highly praised Jiangsu University's research achievements in the field of fluid machinery and proposed that both parties establish a strategic cooperation mechanism. This could involve jointly applying for national-level scientific research projects and forming technical teams to address bottlenecks in key generic technologies. Zhou Jiajin, building on the shared background of both institutions from the era of the Ministry of Machinery Industry and their prior cooperation, expressed the hope that the two sides would deepen collaboration in advanced manufacturing technologies and industrial intelligence. He emphasized the joint promotion of initiatives such as the "National Engineering Research Center for Manufacturing Automation" and the "Beijing Intelligent Testing Equipment Innovation Center," aiming to achieve technology transfer through industry-university-research collaborative innovation mechanisms.

Peng Guangjie extended his gratitude to the BRIAMI for its warm reception and acknowledged the long-standing collaborative relationship between the two parties formed through their integration of industry and education. He also thanked the institute for its consistent support and assistance in the development of Jiangsu University. Peng introduced the Fluid Center’s developmental trajectory, the construction of academic disciplines, core research priorities, and its innovative breakthroughs and industrial practices in areas such as hydraulic engineering equipment, modern agricultural machinery, nuclear energy systems, and specialized military equipment. He expressed his hope to deepen multifaceted collaboration with the North Research Institute through this exchange, jointly tackling key technical challenges in fluid engineering equipment, constructing standardization systems, and promoting engineering applications. Peng emphasized accelerating the cross-disciplinary integration and iterative upgrading of fluid transmission and intelligent control technologies within high-end fluid equipment manufacturing.

Following the discussion, the delegation carried out a technical survey at the BRIAMI, visiting the demonstration area for innovative achievements in intelligent equipment system integration and the core experimental platform of the National Engineering Research Center for Manufacturing Automation.

This visit was not only a high-level exchange and survey but also a consolidation of the foundation for deeper collaboration. Through face-to-face discussions, the two parties reached a consensus on multiple aspects, including industry development, talent recruitment, integration of industry and education, research cooperation, and upgrading experimental platforms, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. Both sides committed to embracing a new-era perspective on education—one that prioritizes large-scale science and talent development—leveraging their respective strengths in technology and think tanks to deepen joint research on critical core technologies and "bottleneck" challenges. Through initiatives such as jointly applying for national major projects and co-establishing a Jiangsu University branch of the "National Engineering Research Center for Manufacturing Automation," they aim to advance the localization of core components, construct standardized systems, establish mechanisms for the joint cultivation of interdisciplinary talents, and accelerate the mutual empowerment of innovation and industrial chains. These efforts will drive iterative upgrades in industrial technologies for intelligent testing equipment and fluid engineering equipment, while collaboratively building a novel industry-university-research-application innovation system.
