Recently, the International Agricultural Mechanization Training Project authorized by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China started class. The class was undertaken by our university, and the expert team including Associate Researcher Jiang Yue and Yan Haofang of our fluid center was responsible for the teaching and practical tasks of agricultural water-saving irrigation module. Although the situation of prevention and control of COVID-19 was still severe, the whole team overcame difficulties and completed the online and offline teaching of two English theoretical courses named Theories and Technology of Sprinkler Irrigation and Micro-Irrigation Equipment and Irrigation Method and Basic Theory. Besides, the team organized trainees to the Sprinkler Irrigation Experiment Hall, Observation Site of Farmland Micrometeorology Test and Intelligent Greenhouse Planting Laboratory, where operating methods of different irrigation systems were explained to the participants according to the actual objects. The explanation combining theory with practice ensured that the trainees fully understood the teaching content. Meanwhile, the teaching team also organized trainees to visit leading enterprises in this industry including but not limited to Jiangsu Huayuan Irrigation and Drainage Co. Ltd. and Jiangsu Wangda Sprinkler Irrigation Machine Co. Ltd. The training was a complete success and was highly praised by African trainees.
On the basis of Agricultural Machinery Training entitled Harvest Africa at early stage, Agricultural Equipment Technology Innovation and Application Training of Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China called China-Africa Friendship sponsored by Chinese Government Scholarship and Modern Agricultural Training of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China called China-Pakistan Modern Agriculture Regional Innovation Institute were added to the International Agricultural Mechanization Training Project, which in turn, improved the level of the training. Over 100 trainees from the Asia Pacific region, Pakistan, Zambia, Ethiopia, Congo, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon and Egypt included, were enrolled in the training course.
The fluid center has always laid great emphasis on international cooperation and exchange, promoting the key international tasks of 095 project of our university. Our center actively organized the expert team to implement the requirements of various international training tasks for agricultural machinery, and provided an opportunity for African students to understand the level of agricultural irrigation in China.
