On June 10, the "4th China Rural Revitalization Strategy Promotion Conference" hosted by Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery was held in a combination of online and offline. With the theme of "Rural Revitalization, Equipment First", the conference was attended by more than 3000 experts and representatives from national colleges and universities, scientific research institutes, enterprises and institutions. The conference was presided over by Zhang Xiansheng, who is the secretary general of Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery. Liu Xiaohu, chairman of Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery and Party secretary, chairman and general manager of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences Group Co., Ltd., delivered an opening address. Zhao Chunjiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and other 10 experts and scholars were invited to make academic reports. As a honored guest, also known as Secretary of the Party Committee of our university and the vice chairman of Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery, Yuan Shouqi made a report on a special topic entitled "Current Situation and Development Thinking of Mechanized Irrigation in Hilly and Mountainous Areas".

Yuan Shouqi firstly analyzed in detail the current situation and development trend of water-saving irrigation in hilly and mountainous areas of China. Subsequently, he introduced to the participants the research practice and results of industry-university-research of the water-saving irrigation team of Jiangsu University, which has actively focused on and integrated into the National Rural Revitalization Strategy for a long time. The team was devoted to promoting the progress of agricultural irrigation mechanization in rural areas. Additionally, Yuan further pointed out the development trend and research focus of water-saving irrigation equipment, modes and systems in the future.
