To further deepen collaborative innovation and integration among government, industry, universities and research institutions, and to empower the high-quality development of local characteristic industries, a special exchange activity among the Fluid Center, Yuqi Subdistrict of Wuxi, and Wuxi Huishan Pump Co., Ltd. was held in Conference Room 304 of the Fluid Center on May 13.

Thirteen representatives attended the event, including Li Wei, Director of the Fluid Center; Chen Cheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Yuqi Subdistrict; and Ding Liqing, Chairman of Wuxi Huishan Pump Co., Ltd. The event was presided over by Peng Guangjie, Deputy Director of the Fluid Center.

Li Wei extended a sincere welcome to the visiting guests from the local subdistrict and the enterprise on behalf of the Fluid Center. He gave a detailed introduction to the center’s achievements over the years in the development of advantageous disciplines, construction of high-end research platforms, cultivation of high-level talent teams, and transformation of industry-university-research outcomes. He highlighted the center’s frontier research layout, technological reserves and R&D strength in core areas such as the development of high-efficiency and energy-saving pumps and multiphase flow conveying equipment.

Peng Guangjie provided a supplementary introduction focusing on the center’s major research directions, distinctive strengths in technological innovation, and diversified university-enterprise cooperation.

Chen Cheng introduced in detail the industrial layout of Yuqi Subdistrict, the current development of its pump industry, and its long-term development plan. He emphasized the urgent need to deepen university-local government cooperation, jointly attract and cultivate professional talent, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the local pump industry.

Ding Liqing shared the technical bottlenecks and development needs encountered by the company in production, manufacturing and market application. He expressed the hope that the company could draw on the strong research capacity and talent resources of Jiangsu University’s Fluid Center to overcome technical challenges and strengthen its core market competitiveness.

The on-site exchange was lively and productive. Participants held in-depth discussions on key issues including breakthroughs in core industrial technologies, joint postgraduate training, co-construction of internship bases, and the transformation of research outcomes. Preliminary consensus was reached on several areas of cooperation.

After the symposium, the visiting guests toured the center’s research laboratories and testing center. They observed first-class research facilities and cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements at close range, gaining a direct and deeper understanding of the center’s innovation capacity and technological R&D capabilities.

The targeted government-industry-university-research exchange successfully established an efficient communication and cooperation platform among the university, local government and industry enterprise. It also enabled precise alignment and deep integration between university research resources and local industrial development needs.

Looking ahead, the Fluid Center will continue to deepen cooperation with local governments and industry enterprises. With project cooperation as the link, talent cultivation as the support, and achievement transformation as the goal, the center will work with its partners to tackle key technical challenges in the industry, jointly cultivate high-level innovative talent, and contribute to the high-quality development of the regional pump industry.
